7 Reasons The Undertaker Shouldn't Sign A New WWE Contract
2. For His Health
Wrestling takes an infamously gruelling toll on its practitioners, and while the Undertaker may have defied his age for an almost supernatural number of years now, it appears as though his time is finally running out. A pair of noticeably slowed performances have indicated that his body is finally creaking under the strain, and a strong argument can be made to suggest that 'Taker would do well to call it quits and enjoy a peaceful post-wrestling life. The industry is littered with countless examples of those too in love with wrestling to truly give it up once and for all (from old veterans such as Terry Funk to individuals whose bodies are literally beginning to give up on them, like Rey Mysterio and his notorious knees). Although the Deadman would surely fall into a similar category of infatuation and even addiction, given his longevity and unmatched commitment to kayfabe, he has shown wisdom in limiting himself to one performance per year. It seems only a matter of time before he writes off in-ring activity altogether - a decision nobody would begrudge him.
