7 Reasons Why James Ellsworth Is Obviously Not A Main-Eventer
5. He's Getting Too Much TV Time
The fact that Ellsworth gets two/three backstage segments and a main event match (even if he is standing idly by), against the near-five minutes Tyler Breeze gets in a terrible tag match against the Vaudevillians is flat out criminal.
At the commencement of the ‘New Era’, SmackDown was foreshadowed as the show for the people, and it’s since lived up to that reputation. Yet perhaps our self-indulgence is obstructive to the careers of superstars deserving of TV time, who can’t get on when James Ellsworth is in their slot.
It just goes to show the power of social media and fan response. Despite what we’ve been feeling for years, someone is listening. Someone has caught onto the charm of Ellsworth, and is using it to the full advantage of fan appeal towards SmackDown.
Whether this will be healthy long-term, at the expense of potential careers like those of Tyler Breeze, is questionable.
