7 Reasons Why James Ellsworth Is Obviously Not A Main-Eventer

4. Fans Are Getting Themselves Over

This could be a whole new argument in itself, but I’ll try to keep it sweet. Wrestling is amazing. It’s an immersive experience that includes its fans unlike any other sporting or recreational activity.

But there comes a time where we need to accept what we are being presented with, and go along for the ride for it to manifest itself to its full potential. The role of the wrestlers and the production team at the core is to take us to an alternate reality. When fans ark up and attempt to hijack a show, you know something’s up in audience mentality.

We’ve seen some incredible fan-induced moments and stories over the years; CM Punk, Mizdow, Daniel Bryan, the ‘list of Jericho’, to name a few. But these people all gave us something to work with, in the hope we would reciprocate emotional response and gratification for their work. Not that we would completely steal the show.

The passive nature of Ellsworth’s character has allowed him to float to the rafters on the echoing voices of fans. When it’s at the point we are ignoring AJ Styles over Ellsworth, the line needs to be drawn.
