7 Reasons Why WWE Hell In A Cell 2017 Floundered
6. Dolph Ziggler Lost
There were two men on this card that needed a big win to keep themselves relevant. One of those men was Dolph Ziggler. Making his way to the ring with no entrance music was genius; his character is all about excelling in the ring, and mocking those who have to rely on a flashy entrance to get the crowd pumped. But once again, 'The Showoff' lost.
We're meant to believe that Ziggler is one of the best competitors on the roster, that he doesn't need to be good on the mic, and he doesn't need the WWE Universe behind him. But when he can't back up his claims with a win over Bobby Roode, or anyone with a crowd-pleasing entrance for that matter, how are the fans meant to take him seriously?
A win here would have cemented Ziggler's new persona, and carried him nicely into a rubber match with Roode, or a new feud entirely. As it was Bobby's first pay-per-view match, he could have easily taken a loss and bounced back. All this match did was bring Ziggler's momentum to a screeching halt.
