You know things haven't been planned out properly when your World Champion defends his title in a throw-away match in the middle of the card. Jinder Mahal and Shinsuke Nakamura have battled twice now over the WWE Championship, and the crowds have sat on their hands the whole way through.

There aren't many people that would enjoy seeing Jinder have the final match of the night, so it can be seen as a wise move by the WWE to not put him on last. However, there is no excuse good enough for not putting the World Champion in a Hell In A Cell match when the whole event is based around the Steel Structure.

Having the WWE title defended in a regular match made it feel like the strap isn't worthy of being fought for in one of the most dangerous stipulations possible. By not lowering the Cell, they've ironically lowered the standing of one the most prestigious prizes in wrestling.
