Despite proving last year that women can compete just as well as the men can inside the Steel Structure, a Hell In A Cell Women's match was noticeably absent from the card this time around.

Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks made history in 2016 as the first ladies to ever battle inside the Cell. They put on a fantastic match that would go on to define the idea that the women in WWE are every bit as able as their male counterparts. Furthermore, WWE decided to have the Women's Championship match as their main event of the night.

What HIAC 2017 has shown us is that the women's division has slipped dramatically now that the initial buzz around it has died down. The only women's match on the card, the bout between Natalya and Charlotte Flair had all the potential to steal the show, but battling in the middle of the event with no stipulation made it seem lacklustre. What's more, ending the fight by DQ cheapened the match. The WWE needs to make the division more exciting, but it's not possible when it feels like they can't be bothered to try and top the show they put on last year.
