7 Reasons WWE Fastlane 2017 Absolutely Sucked

6. Braun Losing To Roman Clean

We're long past the point where we should be surprised by any Roman Reigns victory, and if the reports that he's facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania are true, then of course he would be going over in this match. Especially if you factor in that despite his massive push, Strowman seems to be directionless and without an opponent for the big event.

Still, it didn't have to happen like this. Braun has shown some pretty incredible improvement since he first debuted. He wasn't given the time to gain seasoning down in NXT, so everything he's learned has been on the fly. Since being separated from his Wyatt Family brethren, he's consistently stepped up his game to the point that his recent match against Big Show earned unironic "This is awesome!" chants.

The guy is on fire, he's an athletic freak for a man of his size, the crowd still hates Reigns and yet he beat Braun clean as a sheet at Fastlane. Not only that, but he took The Monster Among Men's badass finisher - the running powerslam - THROUGH AN ANNOUNCE TABLE - and after being rolled into the ring, shook it off and speared him a few seconds later.

I get booking "The Big Dog" to win since Taker's opponent has to come in heated up, but there were ways to go about this without completely neutering Braun Strowman. Instead they went out of their way to make him look inferior to Reigns in every possible way.
