7 Reasons WWE Moving Smackdown Back To Thursdays Is Smart

6. NXT Can Move To Wednesdays To Create Five Days In A Row Of WWE

The current WWE weekly calendar of shows in the United States is as follows: Raw airs on USA Network on Mondays, Main Event is on WWE Network on Tuesdays, NXT & Superstars are on WWE Network on Thursdays and Smackdown is on Syfy on Fridays. The networks they're on will not be changing, but the dates might. What WWE could do is promote the idea that every weeknight has new WWE content airing every night. Raw would obviously stay where it is as well as Main Event. They could move NXT over to Wednesday, then Smackdown on Thursday and Superstars on Friday. Since NXT is taped at multiple episode at a time they could easily move it over to Wednesdays. Superstars is the only one that really doesn't advance storylines, so they might as well stick it on Friday. When you factor in the 12 PPVs that take place every year that would mean a "new" WWE show would air six days in a week. If WWE aired their five shows during weekdays they could package them together and promote them heavily like nothing they've ever had before.
