1. He Could Be A Veteran Presence That Helps Younger Talent
Batista. Chris Jericho. Rob Van Dam. They're all guys in their early to mid-40s like Bully Ray that WWE has brought back this year. Why? Because all of them can offer the kind of experience that benefits WWE's younger talent. Bully Ray can offer the same thing. While Bully isn't the draw that Batista or Jericho is right now, he's a guy that brings more to the table than RVD at this point. RVD was a tremendous talent in his prime that was really popular, but as he's gotten older he's become stale. Bully has been the opposite. He has improved as a performer in the last five years not to mention he is in the best shape of his life. In addition to his ability as a worker, he also has a wrestling school along with Devon in the Orlando area near WWE's Performance Center. Perhaps his trainees could end up in WWE one day. It would be a great situation for both sides. What WWE needs right now are great all around performers like Bully Ray. There are too many guys who just don't have all the tools right now or they lack the skills needed to connect with the crowd in the right way. He's somebody that get a reaction immediately, his matches are believable and thanks to his history as one of the best tag team wrestlers in the history of wrestling, he has credibility that he's earned over the last 20 years. The time is right for WWE to bring in Bully Ray for the next two or three years. He's not going to be a long term solution, but there's nothing wrong with adding a veteran presence like him. In fact, it would be best for business.
