7 Reasons WWE Should Treasure Asuka
4. Meme Machine
Having discussed Asuka's credentials in the confines of traditional pro wrestling, it's time to start thinking outside the box. Today's wrestlers are expected to have an active online presence to maintain their connection with the audience outside the ring, and the Empress of Tomorrow has shown herself to be something of a social media guru in the past few months.
Let's start with the most recent development - Asuka's one-woman mission to turn herself into a walking meme generator. One of the most notable parts of WWE programming since the empty arena shows started has been the Asuka Dance, as seen above. Called in to do a basic run-in, Asuka brilliantly maximizes her minutes by inventing the above dance to celebrate her part in Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross' defeat. Combined with her hysterical (in every sense of the word) breakdown at Andrade's loss to Rey Mysterio on RAW the following week, Asuka appears to have taken it upon herself to be the most unforgettable part of any show she's on.
Put simply, if wrestling really is about creating memories, Asuka is showing herself to be a master of her craft.
