A Randy Orton babyface turn would make that side of the roster look crowded. They already have a lot of upper echelon faces in the company right now. Adding Orton to the list wouldn't really help matters. Some of the names are John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns (back within 2-3 months), Daniel Bryan (also back within 2-3 months), Sheamus, Big Show, Dolph Ziggler and others. That's a stacked roster of talent that is going to be booked in the top feuds on the babyface side. If Orton went face, where does he fit in? It's unlikely that he would get some big babyface push because that would go to Reigns or Ambrose. He'd just be another upper echelon face that's not in the title picture most of the time. There's nothing wrong with that, but it isn't it better to be a top two heel instead of a top five babyface? It's all about placement. He would be a bigger star on the heel side, so that's where he should be. The presence of Orton would hurt the younger guys like Reigns and Ambrose. They should be going over guys like Orton to get to the top. Having him on their side doesn't help them at all. It only complicates things.
