4. Another American Football Venture Fails

2 words instantly spring to mind when reading conjecture about Vince McMahon's plans to dig the dreaded XFL name back up. No, they're not vulgar, they're 'oh' and 'dear'. Who could possibly think that splitting time between WWE's wrestling division and an American football league is a good idea in 2018?

McMahon has never been one to give in to logic however, and he's certainly a maverick who enjoys doing things his own way. Don't be completely stunned then if the 'Xtreme Football League' makes an odd comeback next year and we start seeing it offered as some sort of revamped WWE Network subscription package. Movies and other entertainment may be part of that too.

As surprised as many would be to see the letters XFL back in WWE's lexicon in 2K18 though, that same amazement wouldn't extend to the venture's failure. When the original ceased operations in 2001, most figured that was the last we'd see of it. Could 2018 see a return for one of WWE's strangest ideas?
