The pop that greeted AJ Styles when he first entered a WWE ring at the Royal Rumble last month was simply phenomenal. AJ had worked all over the world as a top tier performer before finally coming through the curtain in Orlando, Florida and looks primed to push himself up towards the top here as well. AJ is just the latest in a long line of marquee signings WWE made in recent times. Joining Styles from New Japan will be Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, a major addition to the tag team division that will put whoever the champs are by then on notice immediately. What will prove to be the biggest signing of all is WWE somehow snagging Shinsuke Nakamura, undoubtedly one of the finest wrestlers alive. If you haven't gone back and watched Nakamura's match against fellow signee AJ Styles at WrestleKingdom 10 I implore you to do so and do it now. Shinsuke's first match in WWE will be against Sami Zayn at NXT Takeover Dallas in what is sure to be at least a match of the year contender, if not match of the decade. Nakamura's style, charisma, and overall presence will get him over with the fans that don't know him and further endear him to those that do. While all the recent signings are a little on the older side, in a way they lead the charge in the change coming to WWE. No longer do you have to be a seven foot tall body builder who can barely move in order to get a look in from Vince and co.; if you can go in the ring and have talent and charisma, you can have a real go at becoming a genuine superstars in WWE. These four new talents show that the direction WWE are going in is one that focuses on in-ring ability, which should lead to an improved product.
