It all seemed so promising when Sasha Banks and Bayley became the first WWE Women's Tag-Team Champions back at Elimination Chamber in February. That was only four short months ago, and yet it feels like a lifetime now that Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are the champs.

Don't get us wrong, no blame can be attached to The IIconics here. They were understandably thrilled to win the belts at WrestleMania, and they've worn them with pride ever since. It's WWE's creative department who deserve scorn yet again. They're the ones who have done precious little with champions who are both passionate life-long fans and want to entertain.

How long until WWE lose interest in the Women's Tag Titles? There's an argument to be made that they already have.

Unless things change dramatically, those titles will become the most pointless in WWE's trophy cabinet. Meaningless squashes against local jobbers won't cut it here. Kay and Royce need (and deserve) to be treated as showcase champs. Their careers and the titles they're holding, depend on it.
