7 Things Roman Reigns Must Do To Win Over Fans
5. Talk Less!
A motto of Paul Heyman’s in ECW was to "accentuate the positives, hide the negatives." WWE does not believe in this idea one bit for Roman Reigns. They put his negatives on full display every time they ask him to talk for more than 30 seconds.
It’s foolish that the company makes him cut long-winded promos. A lot of wrestlers just aren’t good at it, but that doesn't have to be the end of their push. Hell, Goldberg saying anything more than “Who’s next?” was almost always a bad call, and the quieter that guys like The Undertaker, Sting, Chris Benoit and Rey Mysterio have been, the better.
Roman should be positioned as a badass assassin, a man of few words. We shouldn't know much about him at all. For example, instead of him going out to fake toast Lana and Rusev, and annoying the crowd for 10 minutes they could have just had him run in, attack and leave. That way he saves us from a bad segment and not contributes to it, which would also lend him some more mystique.
In conclusion, less words for Roman will likely mean less heat for him.
