7 Things That Are CLEARLY Wrong With WWE Following Royal Rumble 2015
5. Vince McMahon Has A Plan, And It's A LOOOONG Term Plan
Within four months of each other, CM Punk quit World Wrestling Entertainment and Daniel Bryan broke his neck. As well, that likely hastened the breakup of The Shield. As well, The Undertaker likely decided he was done, the company couldn't ink Chris Jericho to enough dates to make him a main event player, Batista sucked and Brock Lesnar had less than 20 dates he could appear in a calendar year for World Wrestling Entertainment. Vince McMahon then likely decided to blow up the ship and (once again) start all over again. So, yeah, about blowing up that ship. That means that he has to hand-pick every piece of the new ship he's building, and it has to be built to last. Thus, a guy like Dolph Ziggler isn't a good choice, because he's one concussion away from retirement. As well, Daniel Bryan has a filmsy neck, and Vince probably doesn't want another Kurt Angle-type situation on his hands. So, you build around Roman Reigns. And Rusev. And John Cena. Expect Sheamus and Orton to be there, too. As well as Bad News Barrett, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor and a few others (Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, anyone), too. We're likely in year one of what will be an around four-year plan. Of course, hour years existed between the New Generation and the Attitude Era. Vince McMahon knows you have to break a lot of eggs (and fans' hearts) to make a perfect cake.
