7 Things That Must Happen At NXT TakeOver: Orlando

4. The Revival Must Lose And Leave NXT

NXT's tag team division is in a difficult position right now. The Authors of Pain are the dominant champions, but outside of #DIY and The Revival there are no credible teams. TM-61 would be included in that conversation if healthy, and Heavy Machinery are yet to be properly introduced.

The triple threat elimination match at TakeOver: Orlando is almost certainly going to be a lot of fun, but it will be a mistake if The Revival leave Orlando with their third NXT Tag Team Championships. Dash and Dawson have long outgrown the developmental brand and need to be 'promoted' to the main roster. It should have happened already, but the adage 'better late than never' rings true here.

The Authors of Pain's eventual first defeat would also be wasted on a triple threat match. NXT has a chance to build something special with Paul Ellering's men, and extending the run until Miller and Thorne return in late 2017 makes sense. That gives Akam and Rezar time to continue their development, and such an arc would eventually make stars out of TM-61.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
