7 Things That Must Happen At NXT TakeOver: Orlando

2. The Glorious Era Must Continue

For the second straight TakeOver, the show will be headlined by an NXT Championship match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode. Their first match in San Antonio was excellent, and with roles reversed in Orlando the sequel could yet match the highs of the original.

The result simply must be the same. Whether or not Shinsuke Nakamura remains in NXT is immaterial (more on that shortly) - continuing to hot-shot the title off the Japanese star would certainly be detrimental to NXT TV. Nakamura as champion is one thing, but Nakamura losing and regaining the title once more hurts everybody.

Bobby Roode is 100% the right man to lead NXT into what will be a crucial summer. The man is the consummate arrogant heel champion, and having Ohno, Dillinger or even Hideo Itami dethrone him is the best way for NXT to go. Roode has exceeded previously lofty expectations in NXT - running with him on top is undoubtedly best for business.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
