7 Things That Must Happen At NXT TakeOver: WarGames

Aleister Black is great. I know this, you know this, everyone knows this. He was great in his pre-WWE career as Tommy End, and it can be argued that no one in NXT is booked better than the Dutchman. Black is going to be a major success for the company, and it truly is a case of ‘when’ as opposed to ‘if’ when it comes to the main roster.

The Velveteen Dream is on the opposite end of that scale. A former Tough Enough competitor, Dream has had to battle against that perception while using a gimmick that is difficult to pull off with any success. Velveteen Dream could very easily have flopped and disappeared already.

But he hasn’t, quite the opposite in fact. Patrick Clark won’t be the first man to defeat Aleister Black, but this feud has been the making of the 22-year-old. Saturday is the biggest night of his young career, to say the least. He won’t win, but it is imperative that the match is somewhat competitive. NXT could come out of this match with two stars on its hands, as opposed to one.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
