WWE: 7 Things That Shouldn't Have Happened At WrestleMania 30

5. They Shouldn't Have Skipped The Entrances On The Battle Royal

This may be a time constraint issue (see #7), or may have just been a decision to save time. I'm a fan who reads results for every show, but doesn't always watch due to a lack of time and availability - I don't have Sky Sports and I'm fed up of being trolled by 2K14 videos on YouTube. So, for me, coming to ringside to find 28 guys piled in, I had difficulty recognising who a few of the guys were. I had the same problem with the Divas Invitational match. At one stage, I saw a pair of tights that looked reminiscent of Shannon Moore's and found myself asking why he'd be in there. They should done something akin to the Legends Battle Royalé at WrestleMania X-7 with maybe 15 seconds of music, or at the very least, using one of the shows theme and just parade them out, one after another, to give them a brief introduction. It also begs the question why Sheamus and Big Show in particular were given entrances. Are we to believe that in the short space of time that it took Ted DiBiase to buy Slam City, that 28 guys were able to make individual entrances and that we caught the tail end, or that they were just more important? If the latter point is right, you have to feel bad for Ziggler, Del Rio, Mysterio and anyone else in that match who has held Championship gold. But if you feel bad for those guys, you should feel worse for Zack Ryder who was eliminated by 3MB. Wow. Merging another point into this post €“ they shouldn't have teased 3 empty slots in the match and then do absolutely nothing with it. People were expecting legends, a new face, or just something special with those three slots. Instead, of bringing in some name value, we get Yoshi Tatsu making his first appearance on non-NXT programming in a long time and Brodus Clay, who disappeared after losing his music to Xavier Woods and hasn't been used since. I get it though, André was infamous for winning battle royalés and it really is a nice touch to honour his memory. But if they were going to make such a big deal about it, they really should have given it a little more effort on the night. Regardless of how the match itself went, expect big things from Cesaro this year. Perhaps even a run at the WWE Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
