Arriving for a WWE TV taping in August, 2011, Christian was frustrated to learn that he'd be wrestling Drew McIntyre. The Canadian wasn't upset about who his opponent was, he was actually annoyed that the match was booked for Superstars instead of the main SmackDown show.

Fired up and desperate to show WWE's creative team what they were missing out on, Christian and Drew went around 15 minutes and had one hell of a match. When the match was over, Christian still wasn't satisfied, so he went to Triple H and asked for a quiet word. Christian's mission was to tell Hunter just how good McIntyre was.

Triple H agreed with Christian, but felt that Drew would have to start hitting home runs like he just had every single night against a variety of opponents. That's fair, but it does seem a little unfortunate that McIntyre was rarely given the chance to prove himself after a while; in other words, he couldn't hit home runs without being handed the bat.
