7 Things We Learned From WWE Chronicle: Roman Reigns

2. He Wishes He "Could Be Normal, Regular"

Whilst surveying the gridironed field he used to call home, there's almost a twinge of regret in Roman's eye that he ever had to leave this part of his life. His first cancer scare ended his football career in an instant, and his bloodline eventually drew him into the squared circle just as it did for the fruits of almost every branch of his family tree.

Dwelling on his battle with leukaemia, Roman starkly admits that he wishes that sometimes he "could be normal, regular". Though he's evidently describing his current circumstances, there's an ambiguity behind those words, married with a glint in his eye inspired by the Georgia Tech visit.

Reigns says that although he appreciates the sentiment, he hates how people are worried for him. "I built up all these walls, and somehow they've been stripped down," he laments, but recognises people have his best interests at heart. "That's a part where I just have to humble myself."

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
