7 Things We Learned From WWE Untold: Shane McMahon & Kurt Angle

3. The Real Reasons Why They Couldn't Break The Glass

And thus we come to the bout's most memorable spot.

As the story goes (one that's repeated in Untold), a WWE worker had put the wrong panel of glass in the window Kurt suplexed Shane through. They'd reinforced the panel so it wouldn't shatter during pyro displays, but that meant it didn't break first time when McMahon's body splatted against it. There was another problem too.

Angle was still reeling from a cracked tailbone, and he didn't have the power to thrust his hips with any force when delivering the suplex. That caused Shane to hit the glass, slide down it and thump his head on the arena floor. This didn't sit well with the daredevil McMahon, so he called Kurt a "wuss" and dared him to have another go.

Suitably p*ssed off and already angry from some stiff shots earlier in the match, Angle ignored his own pain to dish out some to Shane and successfully put him through the glass. Untold didn't go into details on whether or not the worker in question was chewed out post-match for strengthening the panel.
