6. Daniel Bryan
It may not relate to any of the in-ring element of the CWC, but this was some of the best news to come from the Bracketology show; Daniel Bryan is okay!
It’s been a tumultuous few years for the now-retired Bryan, in which his health, his passion, and ultimately his profession, were at some point compromised in one way or another. But after a brief hiatus following his retirement in February, he seems to have been able to reconcile with the situation, to the point that he genuinely looked delighted to be there.
He told Mauro Ranallo—the other half of this commentary dream team—that he was happy to be around wrestling again and moreover he sounded totally enthused about the prospect of the CWC tournament.
After everything he’s been through, it’s awesome to see Bryan in such high spirits once more. And on top of that, how good was he in this new role? I’m wondering if there’s anything this guy can’t do…
