7 Things We Learned From WWE's CWC Bracketology Show

5. Alejandro Saez

Much has been made of the CWC’s weight limit in recent weeks.

Initially presumed to be an exercise in kayfabe, opinion started to change when reports began to surface of one participant being cut after failing to make the weight. But regardless of whether these weigh-ins were legit or not, the good news is that the WWE is actually making a story out of it anyway.

Alejandro Saez has allegedly cut 25 lbs in just couple of weeks in order to be within the 205 lbs weight limit. And even if that’s not true, it allowed Daniel Bryan to probe as to whether or not that weight loss will adversely affect Saez's chances, or whether he’ll be able to put the weight back on quick and therefore have a power advantage in the tournament.

Those comments alone start to tell us an interesting story before Saez has even stepped foot in a ring. In one simple move the WWE’s created a buzz out of nothing—exactly what a wrestling promotion should be doing.
