7 Things WWE Fans Wanted (Until They Got Them)

Japanese wrestling is amongst the best in the world, so it stands to reason its many fans wish to see their idols migrate to the so-called biggest league.

Shinsuke Nakamura, Asuka, Kairi Sane. For one reason or another, their WWE main roster careers have been a disappointment so far. All of them are excellent wrestlers when they apply themselves. Given the opportunity to spread their wings, they are capable of putting on world class performances.

Shinsuke Nakamura had so many matches in WWE that were supposed to be all-time classics - vs. AJ Styles and vs. Seth Rollins to name a few. And yet, they were perfectly mediocre. Not exactly bad, but certainly not meeting the expected high standard. His recent "low blow machine" gimmick did him no favors either.

Charlotte ended Asuka's undefeated streak at WrestleMania. While it was a necessary conclusion to Asuka's excellent run, the way she has been booked since leaves much to be desired. She's one of the best wrestlers in the world today, male or female, and for months she was a complete non-entity. And Kairi Sane, well... apparently she's really Io Shirai, according to the WWE graphics team.
