7 Things WWE Must Do With NXT On USA Network

No crap-tacular puns about taking things to the 'NXT level', please...

NXT USA

Whether fans choose to watch it on WWE's own Network or the USA Network when it debuts there on 18 September, one thing's for certain: NXT must retain the same atmosphere and wrestling-focused presentation it's had for years.

That's what people who have enjoyed the brand's output over the past six years or so expect. WWE has conditioned everyone tuning into NXT's weekly programming and/or TakeOver specials to brace themselves for epic battles that hark back to the glory days of ROH, PWG and more, and they've embraced a different feel to what's offered on Raw and SmackDown.

If that changes, then the promotion should prepare to get hit hard by negative social media feedback. Maybe that'll happen anyway, but there's no excuse for taking what brought NXT to national television and sh*tting all over it just because the show is now "big time". WWE must remember that they're going head-to-head with AEW, a company which will fly the flag for everything in-ring.

Sticking with a grapple-centric theme isn't the only thing WWE must do when NXT lands on USA. They've also got to protect those TakeOver specials, integrate other aspects of the product, look long term and ensure the right guy is calling the shots...
