7 Things You Should Know About WWE Royal Rumble 2000
4. There Were A Lot Of Fun Moments In The Rumble Match
It was a well booked Rumble because they were able to set up a lot of entertaining moments throughout the match. Here are a few of the cool things that happened: - The moment where Rikishi started dancing with Too Cool. The lights went off and they did their dance, which was a very fresh thing at this point. Rikishi was so popular at that point in his career. It was silly, but it was a lot of fun to watch. Moments after the dance, Rikishi tossed out Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty Too Hotty as we were reminded again that it truly was every man for himself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPFqdWoJMpQ - Rikishi was made to look very strong. WWE knew they had something good with him after years of trying him out in several gimmicks. He eliminated the most guys by tossing out eight men and lasted 16:23 in the match. - Maybe Taka Michinoku and Funaki wouldn't consider the match fun, but the members of Kaientai were entertaining as a couple of jobbers that tried to get in the match multiple times. Funaki was thrown out four times! Taka was only thrown out twice because during the second run-in he was sent over the top and landed right on his face. Ouch. It was one of the most painful Royal Rumble bumps ever. They showed the replay multiple times. We can laugh because he was okay, but damn it looked bad. - Chyna was in the Rumble match for the second year in a row. She eliminated Jericho, but Boss Man got rid of her quickly. Poor Jericho. - The choice for the person that lasted the longest was Test with a time of 26:17. Normally the person that lasts the longest is in the match for more than that, but for whatever reason that was the decision in this match. All of those things made it an enjoyable match leading up to an interesting finish.
