Tony Khan couldn't have been any clearer in a recent interview about his distaste for the invisible backstage camera long bastardised by WWE.

He's got a point - over the years we've seen wrestlers plotting and scheming, training and even sh*tting as if a) they don't know they're being filmed, b) that this footage could be seen by their rivals or c) they too could see for themselves if they actually watched the show.

In gentle defence of AEW, there wasn't an abundance of anything taking place beyond the arena and ringside area, but the cuts to both The Elite and Jericho's crew was genuinely jarring for anybody that had heard Khan's emphatic distaste.

This wasn't a case of AEW being stuck with a trope - they could and should have obliterated this on Night One.
