7 Times WWE Stars Were Dragged To Hell

6. Vampiro Grabs A Hold Of Sting At WCW Spring Stampede 2000

For this one we go back to WCW's Spring Stampede PPV on April 16, 2000. This was at a time when WCW was doing one of their reboots where they had some of the veterans feuding with younger guys. Sting was in a feud with Vampiro at that point. There was a one-night US Title tournament with Sting facing off with Scott Steiner. Earlier in the night, Sting beat Vampiro clean and it appeared as though that was it for them. Instead, Vampiro wanted more of the Stinger. Sting was on fire as he hit a Stinger Splash on Scott Steiner. He actually hit three of them, but the ref got bumped during one of them. As Sting stood in the corner of the ring, Vampiro appeared from under the ring and yanked Sting down. The announcers said that Sting "had disappeared straight to hell." Apparently Vampiro had the same powers as the Undertaker to transport people to hell! The match didn't end there because there was the ref bump, so the ref never saw any of this. Sting went back in the ring with some blood on his face (it looked really cheesy) to face Steiner, but he couldn't fight back so Steiner won with the Steiner Recliner to win the US Title. It was an odd way to win a match, but that's WCW in 2000 for ya. There's a reason the company died!
