7 Most Underrated WWE Rivlaries

3. CM Punk Vs. Rey Mysterio

Good versus evil. That's what pro wrestling is all about. When CM Punk faced off with Rey Mysterio in 2010 with Punk as the leader of the Straight Edge Society and Mysterio as the good guy we all respected it was exactly the right mix. Punk showed no remorse when he would attack Mysterio or rip on him personally. Remember when Punk sang happy birthday to Mysterio's daughter Aaliyah? So mean. So heartless. That's what made the feud so great, though. Mysterio is a family man that cared about his image a lot and didn't want to see Punk tear it down while Punk was motivated to tear down a hero of the WWE Universe. They had multiple PPV singles matches in 2010 at WrestleMania 26, Extreme Rules and Over The Limit, which ended with Mysterio shaving Punk's head as a way to humiliate him. If Mysterio won the feud he would have had to join Punk's Straight Edge Society, so in the end the good guy won just like he was supposed to. The reason the feud seems underrated is because there were always other stories that were getting more attention (like Shawn Michaels retiring at WrestleMania 26) and their matches weren't for a title, so they flew under the radar a bit. When you think about the feud from start to finish it was really special and elevated both guys.
