7 Ups & 0 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Feb 14)

Welcome back, Kairi Sane.

Returning to NXT for the first time since December 2017, the first Mae Young Classic winner made her presence felt as Shayna Baszler destroyed Ember Moon. She emerged out of nowhere, saving the vulnerable NXT Women's Champion from her wolf-like opponent, prompting a deserved disqualification.

There were afters, too. Sane looked to have forced Shayna into retreat, but 'The Queen Of Spades' turned back around for a surprise attack. This was quickly thwarted, however, and Kairi smartly knocked her down once more before checking on Moon.

Sane's actions were totally justified, as Baszler had choked her unconscious during the former MMA practitioner's first appearance on the brand. This put Kairi on the shelf, and although she appeared in the women's Royal Rumble, NXT fans hadn't seen her since the assault. Her comeback was a great moment to cap a great angle, and we look forward to whatever's next.
