6. This Was A Tough Spot

Rey Mysterio and Grayson Waller probably don't want the fuss, but they deserve a ton of plaudits for going out there and entertaining the fans like they did. The mood inside that arena was naturally somber, but both guys worked hard; Rey's twin "BW" and "TF" armbands were a lovely touch too.

Waller is improving in-ring all the time, and a match against someone like Rey certainly won't help his progression. It was, however, the right call to put Mysterio over. Now, it's onto Austin Theory at Payback for the legend. That match should thrive on the PLE undercard.

Fingers crossed, eh?

Some are already suggesting on socials that Waller should stick to promos, but this writer thinks that's terribly unfair. He's a relative newbie on the main roster, and needs time to bed in. This is exactly the kind of match that'll do wonders for the guy.
