Yours truly has to be honest about something: He thought WWE might skim over Terry Funk's passing because of Bray's sudden death. Nobody could've blamed them for that, but everyone should be grateful it didn't happen. Funk is one of the best pros to ever grace the biz, and he deserved respect too.

Cody Rhodes' promo ensured he got it by the bucketload.

A pro wrestling traditionalist like Cody was the right man to deliver this speech. He honoured Terry's memory by recalling some...interesting things the Funker said to his father during their first meeting. Terry was working, of course, but his colourful approach always stuck with Rhodes Jr throughout his life and career.

Cody also achieved something else. He managed to pay tribute to Bray by likening him to Funk. That's actually a massive compliment to Wyatt, and Rhodes' "cowboy" line went down a treat. This entire segment was a credit to the show and to Terry's legacy.
