No, the "hardcore match" WWE put on between the Brawling Brutes and The Street Profits wasn't especially hardcore other than some ladder and table involvement, but they obviously get a pass due to the whirlwind rebooking of SmackDown. Besides, all four worked in some cool nods towards old Funk spots.

What you see above certainly wasn't a Terry staple - he didn't exactly hit neckbreakers through the wood often, but WWE's official photo gallery from the match couldn't reflect their splashes of Funk-inspired mayhem. It was there, honest, and it was sweet.

It's magic to see The Profits continue on the right path after stalling for so long as babyfaces as well. Their union with Bobby Lashley will pay dividends in the long run, and this week's SmackDown was another step towards that payoff.
