7 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Collision (Sept 23 - Results & Review)

3. Hard-Hitting Fun

AEW Collision Jay White Andrade El Idolo
AEW

On paper, Andrade El Idolo vs. Jay White had the potential to be special, and the end result here was fantastic.

Was Andrade vs. White the match of the night? That's a tough one, given how the main event Texas Death Match was amazing in an entirely different way to this bout. Either way, we were spoilt with plenty of good-to-great wrestling on Collision once again.

El Idolo and Switchblade put on a lovely 'n' snug war, with Kevin Kelly doing a great job in explaining how the pair were passing ships in the night during both of their respective runs with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. As such, this was the very first time these two have locked horns - and what a first match it was.

Of course, as ever, White had his Bullet Club Gold buddies at ringside, and it was interference from the Gunns and Juice Robinson that allowed the New Zealander to hit the Blade Runner on the knocked-out Andrade to get the 1-2-3.

The issues between Andrade and BCG are clearly not over, and this burgeoning rivalry should be one to keep an eye on.
