7 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dark (Jun 22)

6. Orange Cassidy vs. Peter Avalon

If you hate Orange Cassidy, Peter Avalon and their respective brands of comedy, you'll have absolutely loathed this. That's fine, wrestling is subjective, though it was a fine way to close the latest episode of Dark.

'Freshly Squeezed' worked the hands-in-pockets gimmick throughout. Much of the bout consisted of Orange trying to push them back into his pockets while Avalon worked holds, 'The Librarian' becoming increasingly wound up throughout. They struggled for a while and Cassidy did a great job selling throughout, as he always does, before exploding to life towards the end, flying around like a madman, and putting his slippery opponent away with a Superman Forearm.

Good, shtick-heavy fun here. More than enough to put a smile on your face.
