7 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dark (Jun 22)

3. Lance Archer vs. Griff Garrison

Lance Archer's squash matches are amongst the surest things in wrestling right now. Last night's was another success, as 'The Murderhawk Monster' punished Griff Garrison for daring to fire-up on him early on, absorbing his opponent's strikes, no-selling, and pouncing the poor enhancement guy across the ring soon after.

Archer beat the piss out of Garrison. He ran right through the overmatched wrestler and punished him for talking smack later on, taking this match a level above last week's toying-with-his-prey vibe. Here, Archer was out to teach this little punk a lesson and did just that, ending things with the EBD Claw following a Blackout.

Anything Lance lost in the Cody defeat has now been regained; he feels as fresh and dangerous as ever, and it'd be cool to see him back in a Dynamite spotlight soon.
