7 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (11 May)

Ups...

7. Hookhausen Comes To Life

Danhausen Hook
AEW

AEW subverted expectations with Danhausen's debut, as the very nice, very evil debutant was brutally squashed by Tony Nese and his running knee.

Everything about the occasion was calibrated to deliver a predictable Danhausen victory. Nese was portrayed as a whiner in the build-up, complaining about being overshadowed by other signings. On the night, he wasn't even given a ring entrance, suggesting he was there to job. This didn't happened. When Danhausen turned to Mark Sterling and tried to curse him, Nese clocked his opponent from behind, hit the running knee, and got the pin.

Fantastic.

Hookhausen then came together to a colossal pop after the bell, as Hook saved Danhausen from more running knees and a one-way trip to Concussion City. The storyline is as over as anything else on the undercard at the moment.
