7 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling Homecoming 2019

Ups...

7. Ohio Is For Killers

Sami Callihan vs. Willie Mack was an odd choice for a rivalry. It sort of just appeared out of thin air. There were a few altercations between them in recent weeks (including Mack being placed through a table this past Thursday), but nothing that would really call for a pay-per-view match. It could've easily been settled on an Impact episode.

But as we know from the pair, that doesn't mean the match on Sunday didn't deliver. Obviously it wasn't the best match of the night (we did have an Ultimate X Match after all), but it did what it needed to do in establishing Callihan as one of the top names in Impact right now. Or as he calls himself, The Draw.

It's hard to see the rivalry living on past Homecoming unless something major happens on the weekly Impact episodes going forward. Realistically, it would be best for Sami to head towards the World Championship picture. Surely his name's in the running for the title by now?
