7 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Jul 21)

5. Not Done Yet

Slammiversary saw an abundance of surprises for Impact Wrestling, as EC3, Eric Young, Rich Swann, Heath, The Good Brothers, and The Motor City Machine Guns all cropped up throughout the pay-per-view. But the company aren't slowing down with the surprises quite yet, as Brian Myers - the artist formerly known as Curt Hawkins - has been revealed to be returning to the company for the first time since 2015.

Myers' original run in Impact saw him as part of the invading Global Force Wrestling roster, where he and Trevor Lee captured the World Tag Team Championships for a brief period of time from The Wolves. His final appearance in the company saw he and 'The Carolina Caveman' unsuccessfully challenge Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards for those titles at the 2015 Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

We're yet to see if he'll be joined by former tag team partner Zack Ryder, now known as Matt Cardona, or if he'll be going into the company as a singles star. With a good chunk of those Black Wednesday releases yet to make any sort of indication as to what's next for them though, it's plausible that Brian Myers won't be the final former WWE star to make a name for themselves in the Impact Zone.
