7 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 1)

2. Second Time's The Charm

When The Rascalz issued their open challenge for Slammiversary, no-one could have predicted a reunion of The Motor City Machine Guns. The match was, obviously, incredible, and now, we've got the chance to witness a second bout between the two tandems.

Dez and Wentz earned the opportunity against Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley as a result of their victory over Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. The majority of the match revolved around Fulton chucking the treehouse residents around the ring like it was nothing. Seriously, the fact NXT did nothing with him is crazy, injury or no injury. His partnership with 'The One True Ace' has been phenomenal since it started.

A simultaneous moonsault to the outside and Final Flash (or Spiral Tap, for all you AJ Styles fans out there) picked up a much-needed win for The Rascalz. The fact they defeated a man twice their size and a former X Division Champion was enough for the Guns to offer them a rematch next Tuesday, an opportunity Dez and Wentz are taking with both hands and running with it.

No doubt about it: the rematch will be sensational. Their Slammiversary outing in July was overshadowed by Willie Mack vs. Chris Bey and Jordynne Grace vs. Deonna Purrazzo, so this is a chance for both teams to show why a rematch is the best possible option for Impact's doubles division right now.
