7 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE Raw (1 April - Results & Review)

5. Ricochet Shows Off, Shows Out

While Ricochet might not be headed to WrestleMania, he made sure to stand out Monday night and make WWE brass take notice.

The high-flyer and Viking Raider Ivar had a clash-of-styles match – in the best kind of way. Actually, it’s probably unfair to call it a clash when you consider that Ivar can fly around pretty well himself, and Ricochet has a decent power game that he never gets to pull out… until Raw.

Both men ran through their typical, impressive feats, but everything peaked when Ricochet caught a corner splash attempt and walked out carrying Ivar, hitting a fallaway slam to send fans into a frenzy. He then climbed to the top and put the Viking away with a 630 splash to cap off an impressive match that hopefully won’t be forgotten.

More of this rather than repeated wins over JD McDonagh.

However, negative marks for Michael Cole acting like no one had ever seen a Space Flying Tiger Drop before (“What the hell was that?”). It’s 2024. Hakushi busted one out in WWE 29 years ago. And it’s been seen on WWE programming periodically since then.
