7 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 25)

1. Ending With A Thump

Then, Roman shut Jey's mouth for daring to question his leadership.

Imagine Mufasa had landed a Superman Punch during The Lion King and you'd be along the right lines. That's surely the kind of impact WWE were going for to end this week's SmackDown. Just like Roman's fist, it hit hard enough to send the right kind of message.

WWE has added enough meat on the bone before Sunday's match to make it must-see. They've also successfully convinced this fan that Reigns vs. Uso should headline Clash Of Champions, not the 'Ambulance' match between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton. He didn't think that pre-SmackDown.

Respect went flying out the window. Reigns hit down, and Jey will be out for vengeance this weekend. This was straight-ahead, solid and fine pro wrestling pay-per-view build. Nobody can ask for much more from that, especially not from a match that previously seemed like filler.
