7 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 25)
2. The Promo Dynamic
Take a bow, lads.
Roman Reigns and Jey Uso are using realistic thoughts to add punch to their rivalry, and it's quite something to behold. Roman's lines about Jey never taking his place at the head of the table were intense and believable, and Jey's outbursts about being a twin ("Which one are you?") were equally as emotional.
There's a nice dynamic between how both men are being presented right now. Reigns is the one who has sacrificed everything to provide for the entire Anoa'i clan, and Jey feels like he could do the same if he was given the chance. He's devastated that his cousin doesn't see him that way.
This feud went from lukewarm to hot in one two-hour episode. That's something WWE should stroke their chins and think about in coming months; they can produce some good sh*t when motivated. This sort of genuine exchange needs to happen more often.
Reigns and Uso sounded like real human beings.
