7 Ups & 3 Downs For AEW Collision (Oct 21 - Results & Review)

3. Eddie Kingston Being Eddie Kingston

There may have been some Ups and Downs to his Collision match against Jeff Jarrett, but man, Eddie Kingston delivered another stunning promo later in the show.

The Mad King is one of the very finest talkers in the game, and this was one more example of just how real Eddie is, of just how much he gets you invested, and of just how much emotion he can drum up in a matter of minutes.

As mentioned elsewhere, Kingston and Jay Lethal should be brilliant in terms of bell-to-bell, and now Eddie has sold us all on why this match is a big deal. In Eddie's viewpoint, Lethal has turned his back on professional wrestling ever since he joined forces with Jeff Jarrett.

Gone is Eddie Kingston's respect for Lethal, and now Eddie's own heart is breaking at the beating he'll have to put on "Jamar" in front of Lethal's mother and father. And not just will that bring Jay's mom to tears, but those tears will be because she knows her son absolutely deserves the whooping being handed out to him.

Eddie Kingston, man; forever delivering pro wrestling gold - even if pro wrestling is the mistress that will never love him back.
