7 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (18 Nov)

The Demon Johnny Swinger
IMPACT Wrestling

The Demon, Crazzy Steve, and Black Taurus vs. Johnny Swinger, Hernandez, and Fallah Bahh achieved literally nothing.

Its overall arc began lacking a real purpose.

Swinger wanted a Gene Simmons autograph from the Demon at Bound For Glory, and upon discovering he wasn't the real Gene, demanded revenge. It maybe would have worked on Before The IMPACT, but it had no place being on the main IMPACT programme. It needed to switch slots with Brian Myers vs. Sam Beale, which told an intense, personal story and set up a Turning Point match, whereas this did absolutely nothing.

Hernandez looked like he couldn't be arsed at all. Fallah Bahh, bless him, tried his best to have fun. Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus looked half-decent in their stereo dives to ringside. Johnny Swinger had tremendous facial expressions when locked in the match-ending submission.

But it's not enough to justify a full match. The aforementioned ending submission was barely a hold; the Demon held Swinger's arm across his throat, causing a verbal submission. It looked naff. The match was naff. The story was naff.

Literally, the only good to come out of this was Swinger taunting Taurus with a red cloth. Because he's got horns. He's a real bull. Tremendous patter, dire match.
