7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (10 Feb - Results & Review)

2. Not Buying

There was a time when Seth Rollins versus Finn Balor would have been a must-see, can’t-predict match. That time has come and gone.

On Monday night, WWE attempted to drive interest in the upcoming match with a Rollins promo that Balor interrupted. Seth noted that now Jey Uso has chosen who he will face at WrestleMania 41, all eyes were on Cody Rhodes and the Elimination Chamber for his challenger.

Enter Finn, who tried to peg Rollins as losing his mind after losing to CM Punk last month and fighting with Roman Reigns and Punk after being eliminated from the Royal Rumble. The words just rang hollow, especially since Balor hasn’t really won anything for what seems like forever. And no one is buying Rollins winning the Elimination Chamber with John Cena and Punk already in it.

Good on WWE for trying, but this could just as easily have been an in-commercial interview for the international audience rather than part of the “actual” show.
