7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (24 Feb - Results & Review)

WWE Raw Penta
WWE

It’s getting a bit hard to properly evaluate Penta’s run week by week.

Judging by crowd reaction alone, WWE is getting it right, regardless of repeat opponents or outcome on Monday night (with Ludwig Kaiser pinning Pete Dunne in their triple threat). Penta clearly is over with the fans and is passing every test. He popped the fans throughout Monday’s match, especially when he flattened Dunne with a Mexican Destroyer after jumping off Kaiser’s back.

At the same time, Penta has had five televised matches (not counting the Royal Rumble) and four of them have involved Kaiser and/or Dunne. And with Ludwig picking up the win on Monday night, it’s very likely that this feud will continue. That’s an awful lot of return engagements less than two months into Penta's WWE tenure.

For now, this honeymoon phase of Penta in WWE deserves a wide berth, and the company clearly is invested in the luchador, so this gets positive marks. But if he’s still feuding with the same two guys all the way to WrestleMania 41, this will have jumped the shark.
