3. Lynch, Ripley Boils Over

It was only a matter of time before Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley finally laid into each other with some shots after weeks of The Man being focused on other opponents.

Ripley smartly leaned into that reality, sounding annoyed that Becky has been involved in matches with other women (Liv Morgan, Nia Jax) rather than zeroing in on their WrestleMania match. The difference here was that Lynch has a response to that, noting that she needs to prove herself all the time because there’s always someone who’s younger and hotter, and the way to stay on top is to work harder.

The brawl itself was fine for what it needed to be, with Dominik Mysterio being the catalyst, first holding Ripley back, and then getting in Becky’s face and earning a punch that hit flush on the chin. Rhea and Becky only got a handful of shots in before officials broke it up, which is to be expected, as we’re in the final stages of this program. There was no need for a wild, crazed brawl for a feud that’s centered on Lynch trying to prove herself and Ripley trying to solidify her legacy.

As with other feuds, this one is ready to go, and it just needs to stay on its glide path.
